The Graphite Group is seeking a permanent full-time experienced CPA. We are a boutique accounting firm located near the University of Victoria. We provide accounting, tax, and financial consulting services to small to medium size organizations on Vancouver Island, Salt Spring Island, Kelowna and other locations in Western Canada.

Qualifications and experience

• CPA (CA, CGA, CMA) designation or qualifying soon
• Solid understanding of accounting and taxation for small to medium size businesses and their shareholders
• Minimum three (3) years in public practice with increasing levels of responsibility
• Experience preparing compiled and reviewed financial statements
• Experience preparing T1 and T2 income tax returns
• Experience working in a paperless environment
• Experience using Caseware, CCH iFirm, Taxprep, Sage, and QuickBooks an asset
• Experience preparing T3 trust returns an asset

Duties and responsibilities

• Complete compilation, review, and taxation engagements
• Ability to work and problem solve independently
• Communicate effectively with clients and CRA (written and verbal)
• Develop and maintain client relationships
• Maintain confidential client information
• Be active in improving internal processes and practice management
• Contribute positively to our environment of teamwork
• Other tasks as required

Remuneration commensurate with experience and qualifications. Limited benefit package included. Professional dues and development fees paid. Free reserved parking. Will consider flexible hours for the ideal candidate.
